The University of Otago's Executive Education approach is to offer a mix of learning methods, making our customised programmes practical and transferrable to the individual's role, their teams and organisations.
When we develop Executive Education solutions in conjunction with the client's needs, we listen to what the organisation requires and deliver the programme to suit.

The environment at Otago is designed to encourage those who enjoy learning new concepts, participating in group learning activities, and who appreciate the benefits of interacting with presenters and participants. The PGCertEM is structured to enable managers to complete the programme flexibly over time. However, it is also possible to attend one-off courses of interest to you, without completing a qualification. Therefore, courses are arranged throughout the year, so no large amount of time is required away from work. To complete the PGCertEM, participants are required to complete four five-day short-course modules. It is recommended that participants complete at least one five-day course per year.
Each session incorporates a presenter’s delivery, relevant topical case studies, as well as interactive group and class discussion. Participants are encouraged to discuss ideas and concepts. These ideas are further developed by, and applied to, the context of participants individual organisations.
